The Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship – 12500

Gordon A. Rich was a committed supporter of people of lesser means and limited opportunities. While he was alive, he donated enormous amounts of his incredible energy, passion and resources to help improve their conditions. The Gordon A. Rich Memorial Foundation (GAR) intends to carry on that commitment.

Recipients are chosen based on very demanding criteria, including academic performance, extracurricular activities and financial need.

College scholarship money is available to offspring of those working in the financial services industry. Each GAR scholarship is worth up to $50,000 (approx. $12,500 per year) awarded to bright, hardworking high school seniors who have a financial need.


Boogey Lights Scholarship – 500

Our essay contest encourages recent high school grads or college students to submit a 750 to 2500 word essay expressing their views on the essay theme. The best overall submission as judged by the BOOGEY LIGHTS team will be awarded a $500 scholarship.

Larry H. Miller Dependent Scholarship Program – Varies

Larry H. and Gail Miller’s love of education inspired them to create the Larry H. Miller Education Foundation. Instituted in 1996, its purpose is to provide educational assistance to dependent children of full-time employees of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies.

Scholarship funds are for post-high school education in which students must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA and remain a full-time student. Since its inception, the LHM Education Foundation has helped more than 3,150 students at 80 different universities or trade schools throughout the United States.


Glenn Miller Birthplace Society Music Scholarship – 3000

Since 1977, the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society has honored the music and memory of Glenn Miller by offering an annual scholarship competition open to high school seniors and college freshmen who intend to make music a part of their future. Students from across the country apply for the scholarship and vocal 10 semi-finalists, and 10 instrumental semi-finalists are chosen to compete at the Glenn Miller Festival. Three winners are selected from each category and perform at the Stage Show the next day during the festival. The Glenn Miller Society awards a total of $12,000 in scholarships each year.

Neighbor.com is excited to award one $2,500 scholarship to either a current, first-year, undergraduate student or an incoming freshman pursuing higher education within the United States.

Create A Greeting Card Scholarship – 10000

This contest is open to all high school, college and university students enrolled during the time period of the contest in an academic program designed to conclude with the awarding of a diploma or a degree are welcome to participate in our scholarship competition.

Students home-schooled under the auspices of an accredited high school are considered high school students for this purpose and are eligible.

All legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, as well as American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. International students who have a student visa to attend school in the U.S. are considered legal residents and are therefore eligible.


The Drake Davis Scholarship – Varies

The Drake Davis Scholarship is awarded in memory of Drake Davis. Drake committed suicide in 2006 and Drake Davis Foundation, Inc. was formed to create an opportunity to raise awareness and prevention of suicide.

A limited number of scholarships will be presented to graduating high school seniors who exemplify outstanding qualities in leadership, character and community service.


Cornelia Benton Scholarship – Varies

The Cornelia Benton Scholarship was started in 1991 before “”Cornie”” Benton passed in 2006. The Cornelia Benton Scholarship Committee has continued the scholarship, allowing active, high school senior Girl Scouts to apply for financial aid for their continued education.

Cornelia lived the Girl Scout Promise for 82 years, making her the oldest Girl Scout in Utah! She joined at age 13, earning 24 proficiency badges and her Golden Eaglet through the age of 18. When she completed her education, Cornelia became an elementary school teacher and a teacher for the visually impaired students.

Active Girl Scouts are awarded this prestigious scholarship based on their service to their community, leadership skills, and awards; through Girl Scouts, their community, their church, their school, or any other organization. This scholarship is based solely on service, leadership skills and positions, and awards received.


The Teamsters Local Union No. 222 Scholarship – 1000

Courageous Persuaders Scholarship Dangers of Underage Drinking – 3000

The Grand Prize-winning commercial will be seen on television! Prior to airing, the student or team that produced the commercial will have an opportunity to have a hands-on experience by working with video editing/production professionals to upgrade the commercial for broadcasting. The winning team will also receive a $3,000 scholarship provided by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) Education Foundation.

The primary objective is to raise awareness and change attitudes about the dangers of underage drinking among high school students. A secondary objective is to expose middle school students to positive role models high school students taking a stand on this deadly issue.


State Farm Fan Favorite Scholarship – 2500

The Courageous Persuaders competition encourages high school students to create 30-second television commercials on the dangers of underage drinking and texting while driving. Middle school classrooms review and judge the videos, and help determine the scholarship winners.Participants learn how to create their own video, are honored at an awards celebration, and, most importantly, are making a difference in raising awareness and changing attitudes towards these dangerous issues facing young adults.

The primary objective is to raise awareness and change attitudes about the dangers of underage drinking among high school students. A secondary objective is to expose middle school students to positive role models high school students taking a stand on this deadly issue.
