Loading...The Harriet Bouslog Labor Scholarship was established to demonstrate support for, as well as to commemorate the historic achievements of, the ILWU and encourage greater awareness and understanding among young people about the ILWU’s economic, social, and political contributions to Hawaii.
The Scholarship provides college opportunities for children and/or relatives of ILWU Local 142 members, whose struggles made Hawaii the multi-cultural, multi-ethnic community it is today. The Scholarship is open to the family members of existing and retired ILWU 142 members.
You must have applied for admission to, or be currently enrolled at, any of the 10 University of Hawaii system schools:
- Four-year schools: UH Manoa, UH Hilo, UH West Oahu
- Community colleges: Hawaii, Honolulu, Kapiolani, Kauai, Leeward, Maui College, Windward.
