  • AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability
    The AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability is awarded annually to deserving students with a disability who are pursuing undergraduate/graduate studies (must be at least enrolled as a sophomore in college) in an accredited university and who are pursuing studies related to the health and disability, to include, but not limited to public health, health promotion, disability studies, disability research, rehabilitation engineering, audiology, disability policy, special education and majors that will impact quality of life of persons with disabilities.
  • Air Force ROTC Nursing Scholarship Program
    This scholarship is for Air Force ROTC college students who are interested in the nursing field.Air Force ROTC offers the Nursing Scholarship Program on a competitive basis to undergraduate sophomores and juniors.
  • Albert and Eloise Midyette Memorial Scholarship
    This scholarship shall be awarded to undergraduate students attending **Limestone College** in Gaffney, South Carolina, pursuing degrees in the fields of **religious and ministry studies, nursing and other medical academic fields**.
  • Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Scholarship
    This scholarship is available to a graduate of a high school or home school graduate in the Scottish Rite Valley of Fort Wayne, Indiana who is planning to attend full-time a registered nursing program at an accredited college or university in the state of Indiana.
  • Anne & Dave Hunt Scholarship
    The Anne & Dave Hunt Scholarship was established to encourage individuals to pursue nursing careers in the greater Battle Creek area. Eligible candidates are Calhoun County high school graduating seniors, graduates, or GED recipients; or individuals who graduated from a high school outside of Calhoun County and have established residency in Calhoun County for at least one year. To be eligible, candidates must also be accepted into or currently enrolled in a nursing degree or certification program at Kellogg Community College; or an individual who has obtained a nursing degree or certification from Kellogg Community College and is enrolled in successive or further nursing education program at a Michigan college or university. Preference may be given to: Applicants pursuing the Certified Nursing Assistant program, applicants with financial need, or applicants with demonstrated commitment to the Calhoun County community. This scholarship may be renewed through reapplication.
  • Anne E. Schwarz Scholarship
    As a civic leader and ambassador for Battle Creek, Anne Schwarz is remembered fondly by many people in the Battle Creek community. As a tribute to her active community involvement, her husband, Senator Joe Schwarz, MD, family, and friends established the Anne E. Schwarz Scholarship Fund at the time of her death in February 1990. Eligible applicants Battle Creek area public or private high school graduating seniors or Kellogg Community College transfer students who plan to major in a health science discipline (e.g.: medicine, dentistry, nursing, etc.) at a four year institution. Considerations shall be: academic achievement and some financial need.
  • BBCC Workforce Education Scholarship
    This scholarship is for residents of the service district of Big Bend Community College who will enroll in a Workforce Education Program at BBCC. Students must complete a minimum of 12 credits each quarter and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or better at BBCC in their program of study. Applicants must enroll in one of the programs listed below to be eligible for this scholarship: Accounting, Agriculture, Automotive Technology, Aviation (Pilot), Aviation Maintenance Technology, Business Information Management, Commercial Driver's License, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Engineering, Industrial Electrical Technology, Manufacturing & Processing Technology, Medical Assistant, Medical Office & Billing Support Services, Nursing, Welding, Medical Records & Healthcare Information, Aviation Maintenance Powerplant, Industrial Mechanical, UAS Drone, or Simulation Technology.
  • Beckwith Intervention Scholarship
    This scholarship is for students in the Nursing program at Big Bend Community College.
  • Clarence & Ruth Cole Memorial Scholarship
    Clarence and Ruth Cole maintained a life-long interest in the education of young people in the community and helping them develop to their full potential. They realized that by giving to others, it would come back in abundance. Eligible applicants are African American Battle Creek Central High School graduates with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who are in their junior or senior year of an undergraduate degree and are pursuing a degree in a career helping others, such as: nursing, teaching, law enforcement, social work, etc. Recipients must exhibit financial need, will be committed to furthering their education, and will demonstrate service to others through volunteerism. Former recipients may reapply.
  • Critical Care Training Center’s Scholarship Program
    Critical Care Training Center (CCTC) is honored to present its periodic Interactive Scholarship Program to all **Certified Nurse Assistant Students** throughout California. To qualify for the scholarship, students must submit a 600-word essay on the following topic: “Why do we need CNAs in the Healthcare Industry?” Five top essays will be selected according to the number of shared online community votes and will be forwarded to CCTC Board Members who will determine the final winner.
  • DCMS Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students who are permanent residents of DuPage County, Illinois and are pursuing a course in health care fields at accredited institutions.
  • Diane Dunbar Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students who are enrolled at Big Bend Community College as full time students and are pursuing a degree in Nursing.
  • Dr. Harold & Gladys Tracy Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students who are enrolled at Big Bend Community College as full time students and are pursuing a degree in Nursing.
  • Edward and Joanne Davies Nursing Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to 2nd year nursing students in the Associate Degree Nursing Program at BBCC. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to veterans, family members of veterans, or descendants of veterans (i.e. father, brother, sister, grandparent, etc.).
  • E.J. and Marjorie Ebel Nursing Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to students accepted to the Associate Degree Nursing Program at BBCC. Must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of the service district.
  • Fremont Health Auxiliary Scholarship
    This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who live in the **Methodist Fremont Health service area**, and who are pursuing a course of study in a **healthcare field**. Students who are the immediate relation (child, grandchild, niece or nephew or spouse of same) of individuals who serve on either the Fremont Health Foundation Board of Directors or the Methodist Fremont Health Board of Trustees are not eligible.
  • Fremont Health Foundation Impact Scholarship
    This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who live in the **Methodist Fremont Health service area**, and who are pursuing a course of study in a **healthcare field**. Students who are the immediate relation (child, grandchild, niece or nephew or spouse of same) of individuals who serve on either the Fremont Health Foundation Board of Directors or the Methodist Fremont Health Board of Trustees are not eligible.

  • Georgia Rothburg Nursing Scholarship
    Georgia Rothburg was a school nurse, and was also very concerned about cancer research, volunteering many hours with the American Cancer Society. In establishing this scholarship fund, it was Georgia’s hope that dedicated nursing careers in the Battle Creek area would develop from this assistance.
  • Harold Rudman Scholarship
    The Harold Rudman Scholarship is for students going into agriculture or health care field.
  • Helen Heinemann Memorial Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to students enrolled in the nursing program or other medically related field at Big Bend. The first preference is given to graduates of Ritzville High School; second preference to residents of Adams County; third preference to residents of BBCC service district.
  • I Am Boundless - Ed Harper Educational Scholarship
    The scholarship was created to honor Ed Harper, who devoted his more than 40-year career to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. His vision for assisting individuals to achieve their maximum potential led to the formation of community supportive living services. As a result, four residential homes were established in central Ohio. He served as the executive director for Franklin County Residential Services (FCRS), predecessor to I Am Boundless, until his retirement in 2015.
  • Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation (IHERF) Scholarship
    The ultimate goal of this program is to fill Iowa health care positions that currently have a notable number of openings by offering significant financial support to students seeking health care education. In exchange for that financial support, each award recipient must commit to working one year in an Iowa hospital for each year of scholarship award.
  • Jim & Mary Crowell Medical Scholarship
    The Jim & Mary Crowell Medical Scholarship was established by the Crowell’s family and friends to honor their 72 years of marriage and all their contributions to the Athens community. Jim and Mary’s love survived the distance and challenges of being separated by World War II, and flourished in Athens after their marriage in 1946. Through this scholarship, Jim and Mary’s family hope to encourage other Athens High School graduates to pursue their dream of higher education in the patient centered care medical field.
  • Katherine Lewis Memorial Nursing Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to a student enrolled in the nursing program at BBCC. Preference will be given to older, single parents returning for a career change.
  • Kay Earline Vanderford Nursing Scholarship
    The Kay Earline Vanderford Nursing Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 in loving memory of Kay Earline Vanderford by her son Douglas Vanderford. A graduate of Kellogg Community College’s nursing program, Kay Earline Vanderford worked as a LPN for several years at area nursing homes. She served the Homer and Litchfield communities most of her life and was very compassionate toward her patients.
  • Kerry Trask Workman Memorial Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to a Level II Nursing student who has resided in BBCC’s service district more than three years.
  • Larry & Lorrayne Peterson Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to a student accepted to a BBCC Nursing Program—at the Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing level. Student must maintain a 2.75 GPA. Preference will be given to returning students.
  • L. Barbara (Peggy) Harris Nursing Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to a BBCC student in the nursing program with a 2.75 GPA.
  • Leah Layne Foundation & Patricia Schrom Memorial Book Scholarship
    This book scholarship is available to first-year students accepted in the BBCC nursing program. Students must be from the Columbia Basin area, loosely defined as an area within a 50-mile radius of Othello. Preference may be given to students who declare intent to serve in the Foundation’s service area and/ or students with bilingual capabilities.
  • Marjorie Delong Memorial Scholarship
    This scholarship will be granted to one member of the current **Mexico Academy and Central Schools District** graduating class who intend to pursue a career in **nursing** services by attending a 1,2,or 4-year program leading to a nursing degree.
  • National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program
    This scholarship is for students pursuing primary care health professions training. Applicants must work in one of these health disciplines: Physician Dentist, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife or Physician Assistant.
  • Nursing Alumni Chapter Scholarship
    This scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate Nursing student who has been admitted to the Nursing Program and completed one semester.
  • Patricia & Tamera Fisk Scholarship for Nursing
    This full-time scholarship is available to a Level II nursing student in good standing in the program.
  • Paul & Bertha Eccles Guffin Memorial Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to a student accepted to the BBCC Nursing Program either at the Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing level.
  • Sherry Dompier Nursing Scholarship
    This scholarship is offered to 2nd year students who are enrolled at Big Bend Community College as full time students and are pursuing a degree nursing.
  • Wrynn Family Scholarship
    This full-time scholarship is available to a student enrolled full-time in the nursing program. Student must be in good standing at BBCC and have completed two quarters in the nursing program at BBCC with a GPA of 3.0 in nursing classes and a GPA of 2.75 in support classes.
