  • 5 Strong Atlanta Scholarship Program
    5 Strong partners with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to provide promising student leaders with full-tuition scholarships and ongoing mentorship and support from matriculation to graduation.  To be eligible for the 5 Strong program, all applicants must: * Reside in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area (Fulton County and surrounding counties) * Be a current-year graduating high school senior * Demonstrate the potential to be a leader in the classroom and on campus * Have earned a GPA of at least 3.0 * Have a minimum ACT score of 19 or a combined SAT score of 990 * Commit to becoming a member of 5 Strong * Be available to attend all mandatory bimonthly College Ready Prep Sessions (Remotely for now) * And be interested in attending one of our HBCU Partner Schools (Alabama State University, Alabama A&M University, Benedict College, Bethune-Cookman University, Fisk University, Fort Valley State University, Langston University, and Lincoln University) For Fort Valley State University applicants, they must: * Also meet the Georgia HOPE Scholarship Requirements * Have a minimum ACT score of 17, or an SAT score of 24 for the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section, and a 440 score on the Math section
  • Airgas – Jerry Baker Scholarship 2022
    This scholarship will be be awarded to individuals interested in pursuing a career in **welding engineering**.
  • AWS Atlanta Section Scholarship
    This scholarship will be awarded to a student who resides in the **AWS Atlanta section** and is pursuing welding or welding-related careers.
  • Billy Grant Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students who are planning to enroll or are enrolled at Valdosta State University as full time students and are members of the VSU golf team.
  • Bradley Turner Leadership Scholars Program
    The Bradley-Turner Leadership Scholars Program provides scholarships for outstanding students who exhibit superior leadership capabilities while in high school and who aspire to be student leaders at The University of Georgia. The selection process is highly competitive with only one scholarship awarded annually to an entering freshman. Preference is given first to residents of the Columbus, Georgia area, secondly to residents of Georgia, and finally to out-of-state applicants.
  • CAES Rural Scholars Program
    The Rural Scholars Program recognizes incoming, first-year **University of Georgia** students from Georgia's rural communities who have excelled academically, show strong leadership abilities, have a record of community service, and seek a degree in UGA’s **College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES)**.
  • Chattanooga Section Scholarship
    This scholarship will be awarded to a student who resides in the **Chattanooga section**.
  • Citizens Community Bank Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded based on student recommendations by the Dean of the College of Business Administration.
  • Coastal Electric Cooperative Foundation Technical College Scholarship
    This scholarship is available to students of all ages pursuing a diploma, degree or certificate program from any of Georgia’s technical colleges.
  • COEHS Deserving Student Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student who is pursuing a bachelor's degree in an education field at VSU.
  • Dana Walters Scholarship Scholarship
    The purpose of the Dana Walters Scholarship is to honor the dedication and commitment that Dana felt toward the educational process. Not all young adults with CF have the financial ability to attend college because of the burden that the illness places on the family finances. Our desire is that along with the HOPE scholarship, a higher education will be attainable and students can go on to be productive citizens in our society.
  • Delta Community Credit Union HBCU Scholarship
    This scholarship was created to help members with early financial milestones to go to college.
  • Dorothy Cobb Levy Nursing Excellence Endowment Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to a student who is admitted to the undergraduate nursing program at Valdosta State University and must be seeking the BSN degree.
  • Dorothy Dewar Service Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to a student who is pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree within the College of Education and Human Services at Valdosta State University.
  • Ed Hoard Memorial First Tee Scholarship
    This scholarship is for University of Georgia freshmen who are participants in the **First Tee Program**.
  • Gail Aberson Scholarship
    This endowed scholarship was created to assist teachers at the graduate level in their professional development/certification as Teacher Support Specialists (Mentors) and science teachers K-12.
  • Golden Circle Theatre Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to theatre majors attending Valdosta State University based on a combination of academic achievement and audition or portfolio presentation.
  • Greenhouse Scholars Program
    This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from **Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, or North Carolina** who are planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution.

  • Harold S. Gulliver, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in English and humanities at Valdosta State University and have demonstrated financial need.
  • James E. Martin Scholarship
    The scholarship is open to students pursuing a B.S. degree in physics at Valdosta State University as full time students and have demonstrated good leadership skills and academic achievement.
  • Jane Parramore Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to senior nursing majors who are attending Valdosta State University as full time students.
  • Jeffrey K. Cutchens Scholarship
    This scholarship will be awarded to a student who resides(ed) in either the Southern Judicial Circuit counties (Lowndes, Brooks, Thomas, Colquitt, Echols) or the Alapaha Judicial Circuit counties (Berrien, Cook, Lanier, Clinch, Atkinson) and is majoring in criminal justice
  • Judge William F. Cooper Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to female students who planning to attend full-time an accredited college, university, or technical college in the United States and study in any field except law, theology or medicine; however, the field of nursing is an approved area of study. First preference is to residents of Chatham County, Georgia; second preference is to residents of other counties in Georgia.
  • Lee Anthony Crews Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to VSU **criminal justice major** students who are residents of Lowndes, Echols, Cook, or Brooks counties.
  • Martin and Laura Lynn Miller Endowment Scholarship
    This scholarship is for students who demonstrate a desire to enter the field of community or behavioral nursing and who are committed to remain in the field of community or behavioral nursing in the South Georgia region for a period of two years.
  • Mercer University Academic Merit Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen at Mercer University who have demonstrated good academic and leadership accomplishments
  • Ola M. Brown Minority Scholarship
    This endowed scholarship is designated for a minority student majoring in Education at Valdosta State University as full time students and have demonstrated good leadership skills and academic achievement.
  • Porter Fleming Literary Competition 2022
    This competition recognizes talented writers who reside in **Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee**.
  • Robert F. Barr Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to **VSU** students who are promising **instrumentalists and music education** majors.
  • Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are planning to enroll at an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US as full time students and have demonstrated good leadership skills and academic achievement.
  • Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to students who are employed or a member of their immediate family must be employed or is a member of Roosevelt-Warm Springs Institute and is a resident of Meriwether County.
  • SCAD Academic Honors Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen at Savannah College of Art and Design who have demonstrated good academic and leadership accomplishments
  • The Cheryl Hennesy Scholarship

  • The Justin T Hobdy Accounting Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate junior accounting major who is enrolled at Valdosta State University and has demonstrated financial need.
  • UGA Foundation First Generation Scholarship
    This scholarship is for first generation UGA students who are residents of Georgia. Students who are interested in being considered must complete their FASFA.
  • Virginia McCraw Gaskins Scholarship
    This scholarship is offered each year to a student who is pursuing a course of study leading to a degree in nursing.
